Not for the faint hearted

This is a humdinger of a juice, but definitely NOT for the faint hearted as kale is an acquired taste for any novice juicers (although Charlie the Cat was VERY interested!). I've grown to love its earthy, metallic tang, and it's this very distinctive taste that makes it one of the healthiest of all green veggies - rich in iron, vitamin K and natural fibre, it is a brilliant detoxifier and great for boosting your heart health. Kale juice on its own though, is a little hard core, so I've combined it with a few other fabulous ingredients........ Pineapple is rich in vitamin C and bromelain, an enzyme that helps to encourage blotch-free skin - so its a perfect addition to any juice if you've had a 'rough' night (it also helps to sweeten the juice and makes it more palatable). The high water content of lime, celery and cucumber help to top up hydration levels and, combined with the highly concentrated sugars in fresh apple and carrot, help to give an instant energy boost.

This is a perfect morning juice; persevere with it as the beneficial properties more than make up for the slightly 'alternative' taste.

1/2 cucumber

4 stalks of celery
