Super green juice


I have one of these most days; it tastes great and has the added benefit of making me feel good. In fact, it's so good that I have even converted my 'juice-resistant' partner to drinking a glass in the morning. It's packed full of vitamins and also helps to get the digestive juices flowing. The spinach can be substituted for any other leafy green veg; cavalo nero works well and gives it an earthier taste. The lemon and ginger really help to lift the juice and give it a real zing.

Ingredients

4 apples (I like to use granny smiths)

1 head of celery - trim the end and then chop in half

3 or 4 large handfuls of spinach

1 whole lemon (no need to peel) - trim the ends off and slice into 3 large pieces

3 inches of ginger, chopped into 3 pieces

Directions

Juice all the ingredients - it's as easy as that!

(I like to start off with an apple, a piece of ginger and a slice of lemon, followed by half the celery then a handful of spinach. Repeat until all of the ingredients have been juiced)
